Technical, quality, safety, and regulatory information is product-specific. This website does not claim that every NVTIA-related ingredient or service holds the same certification, regulatory status, testing package, or market authorization.

Documentation that may be requested

• Product specification or Technical Data Sheet (TDS)
• Safety Data Sheet (SDS), where applicable
• Lot-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA), where available
• Identity and assay methods
• Microbiological, heavy-metal, pesticide, solvent, and other contaminant criteria
• Allergen, GMO, origin, stability, packaging, and storage information
• Applicable manufacturing or certification documents

Availability must be confirmed for the particular ingredient and supply chain. Listing a document type here does not mean it exists for every item.

United States regulatory status

NDI, NDIN, GRAS, dietary-ingredient, food, cosmetic, drug, or other status depends on the exact substance, manufacturing process, intended use, dose, claims, and market. No such status should be inferred unless NVTIA identifies the applicable basis and documentation for the specific product.

Scientific substantiation

General academic research and mechanism-of-action discussions are not substitutes for product-specific evidence. Objective efficacy or safety claims require reliable evidence appropriate to the claim, test material, population, and intended use.
