Nobel Laureate in the Spotlight: A Conversation with Professor Gregg Semenza and the NVTIA’s Blueprint for Green Technology
In 2019, Professor Gregg L. Semenza was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his discovery of ‘how cells sense and adapt to oxygen availability’. This discovery has not only revolutionised the medical community’s understanding of the treatment of anaemia, cancer and cardiovascular disease, but has also opened up entirely new avenues for the health and anti-ageing industries.
Today, this momentum is being channelled into the global supply chain for new ingredients through the NVTIA brand. Within NVTIA’s research and development vision, Professor Semenza’s academic ideas have been seamlessly integrated into the screening and modification of natural plant-based ingredients.
“Nature harbours countless untapped bioactive molecules, and the task of modern science is to find the key to unlocking them,” states NVTIA’s Chief Scientific Advisory Team. Through in-depth research into cellular metabolic pathways under varying oxygen conditions, NVTIA is able to precisely identify the core fragments within plants that are most effective for cellular repair, anti-photoageing and energy remodelling. Choosing NVTIA means choosing to walk hand in hand with the world’s leading scientific minds.
